North Cascades Mountain Guides — Alpine Climbing Media
In the summer of 2020, Jake traveled from Cambridge, MA to Winthrop, WA to work with North Cascades Mountain Guides (NCMG), creating advertisements to draw climbers toward safer, closer rock-climbing objectives in the Washington Pass valley rather than more remote, higher-risk destinations. Hauling camera equipment, ropes, and rock protection, Jake spent two weeks on the cliffs of the North Cascades working alongside professional mountain guides to capture the action and beauty of the location. Additional footage from the engagement lives on NCMG's Vimeo account.
NEEDS YOUR INPUT: the old site's specific, sourced project was this 2020 climbing-ads shoot — I renamed the title to match rather than the more general "Safety Education" framing I'd guessed at before, and moved the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE) curriculum work out of this file since it's a separate engagement (still mentioned in your About bio for now). Let me know if you want a dedicated case study for the AIARE work — I only have one sentence of source material for it so far — and whether there's been any work with NCMG since 2020 to add here.
